Mauna Loa erupted on Lā Kū’oko‘a November 28th, 1843 and today, 179 years later, Pelehonuamea is flowing down the same sacred slopes in the direction of Pōhakuloa. Feeling the mana kūpapakū of our ‘āina so deeply as we celebrate our individual and collective ea from the snow capped summit of Mauna a Wākea to the glowing heights of Mauna Loa! E mau ke ea!
