To all Mauna Kea Shawl Wearers: please share with all shawl wearers you know.
This is an invitation and request to wear your shawls on Lā Kūʻokoʻa, November 28th as a prayerful expression of collective solidarity as we raise our flags and wear our ceremony.
On this day, we ask that you focus your thoughts and prayers at some part of the day to all who are standing in Hawaiʻi and everywhere around the world for the earth; mountains and waters, land bases and life ways. May they be strengthened, protected and safeguarded.
This is also a time of year to focus on abundance, health, fertility, rest and regeneration. With that in mind, we extend the invitation for you to pray, chant, use the shawl mantra or one of your own throughout the day.
You are welcome to email a photo of yourself or group wearing a mauna shawl to mkea.info@gmail.com to be included in a collage of shawl wearers for MKEAʻs Kūkulu Art Exhibitions.
Mahalo nui. Lonoikamakahiki! Eō!
